There was no time for hangovers at ResourceBank last week as the first week of the new year saw four new projects kick-off and many current clients request additional support to cope with demand. All of the team have rolled-up their sleeves and are cracking on with what looks like an exciting and busy quarter for us.
Assessment of 1000 Graduate scheme applications
January is the month when many organisations traditionally close the registrations to their graduate schemes for the forthcoming year. One of our clients has experienced a 35% increase in applications received this year and are expecting around 1,000 applications for just 12 places. Their in-house recruitment team is already overstretched so they have asked ResourceBank to manage the assessment and first stage selection process. Our team have developed an objective criteria set for the assessment and will assess all applications to deliver a shortlist of the top candidates for the business to then interview.
New recruitment partnership with equipment supplier
We've kicked off the year establishing an embedded recruitment service with a brand new client and have over ten roles already being worked on. Historically the company has been almost totally reliant on agencies to fill their roles, and working with ResourceBank will allow them to have a dedicated team of recruiters, save on costs and allow their HR team to focus on their core responsibilities and projects. The Head of HR used to work at one of our long standing clients and had no hesitation in contacting us to manage and improve her recruitment process.
New warehouse recruitment project for a logistics business
A logistics business are establishing a new warehouse in the midlands to support additional demand thanks to Brexit and have appointed ResourceBank to manage the recruitment of all staff. We have created a project team and will be providing an end to end service for the recruitment - from taking the vacancy briefs, right through to verbal offer, ensuring the warehouse will be fully staffed by the start of February.
First Kickstart clients in progress
At the end of last year we announced we had been approved by the Government as a Gateway provider for their Kickstart scheme to help young people aged 16-24 into work placements.
