The challenge
Executive and senior management recruitment throughout the Coats group was undertaken in a decentralised manner with no consistent approach to selection and no system or management reporting to support the function. Despite being a genuinely global business, the Coats name and brand had a low awareness among potential candidates. Recruitment spend with agencies was high and there was no candidate management or pooling of candidates.
